Well, first, we automatically drop out of the conversation as soon as - at least - the root conversation has ended. Though, we need a special s:conversationLink component which is simmilar to outputLink to allow something like "new window" links. There we have to remove the conversationContext from the url again. All this looks a little bit hacky, but I have to admit, there is no way around getActionURL, anything else requires to make every component RequestParameterProvider aware. e.g. there are some in tomahawk rendering its own form.
