I read this in tomcat documentations (some years ago)

Now, I couldn't find it again. But to me it looks pretty straight
forward to put
them their, instead of mixing .java and .clazz

we always put them under WEB-INF/classes, but if they are under
WEB-INF/src, I'm pretty much ok with that.
