Mike Kienenberger commented on TOMAHAWK-826:
--------------------------------------------

Just a note that this is an open source project -- anyone who contributes is a
"project owner".

The only difference is that some people have contributed consistently enough
that they've been granted the ability to do so with little oversight
(committers) and others have been responsible committers long enough that
they've become part of the oversight committee (the MyFaces PMC).

As Jeff states, changes happen when someone provides patches :-) Unless the
patches are controversial (in which case, you should be proactive in discussing
them on the myfaces-dev list), someone with commit privs will apply them
(although since this is a volunteer-driven project, it sometimes takes time for
this to happen -- the easier you make the process, the sooner it's likely to
get done -- patches in diff format, documentation, unit tests, examples, etc .)

> Currently, the only visual cue for validation errors is to display validation
> messages using <t:messages />. However, quite often there's a different
> requirement for error flagging, namely to identify the field labels (e.g.,
> make them red) if the field has an error. This behavior cannot be achieved
> using available controls, and therefore I propose to enhance an existing
> Label control with this functionality. All it would have to do is to set a
> specified CSS class (and/or CSS style) on a label component, if the field
> referenced with the "for" attribute has an error.
