Further investigation on this shows that the problem is more widespread. If you 
use the dialog framework and your dialog has a select on it, then under IE6 it 
is not rendered. I suspect this is all to do with the z-ordering as the 
trinidad dialog framework code has javascript to work around ie5,6 dhtml 
z-ordering issues.

If you reload the contents of the iframe as soon as it is loaded, then the 
selects are rendered. I intend to put this as a temporary solution for my 
project until it is reolved correctly in the product.

It would be nice to up the priority oif this bug given that it now affects the 
entire dialog rendering framework for IE6
