shortDesc Attribute of tr:panelPopup get`s not rendered

When setting the shortDesc Attribute of a tr:panelPopup, the trigger should
have a tooltip.
Currently it looks like the facesBean holds the value, but does not render the
attribute.
As far as i could see the PropertyKey did not match.
