AFAIK NetBeans does not ship libraries, but a whole product. We might have some valuable libraries, like openide-lookup, but we never tried to provide long term support for them. So, if the whole Platform is expected to run on Java 8 I see no issue with any individual module being upgraded. Anyhow, if your patch maintains Java 6 level, even better! >>Please make a GitHub PR >>Where's the official Github mirror? https://github.com/apache/incubator-netbeans --emi --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected] For further information about the NetBeans mailing lists, visit: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NETBEANS/Mailing+lists
