Hi Lewis It would need some rewriting to adapt it to the end point implemented by the plugins but it would be a good starting point and worth looking at. It could also be something maintained externally and would not necessarily have to be part of the Nutch code. Basically we'd maintain the plugin mechanism and the implementation for the most common backends (SOLR, ES) but anyone can have his own repo with implementations for less common backends.
