Patch implements suggestions by Yasin. I thought about moving the function out
to a Util method but as it is only implemented (in this patch) for two protocol
implementations; namely protocol-http and protocl-ftp, maybe it is not quite
worth it yet.
I saw no obvious way for implementing this for protocl-file,
protocol-httpclient or protocl-sftp. If anyone wants to look in to these
protocol plugins and suggest where the same functionality could be implemented
then that would be great.
Please comment.
