QMF: python console does not properly shutdown broker thread in some error

The broker thread is started by a call to Session.addBroker(). If the
connection fails, this method does not properly shutdown the broker thread.
Also, the broker shutdown code should attempt to properly cleanup the
underlying messaging resources.
