Review Comment:
   I agree with this. The documentation for the callback signature/compact 
should be that the life of the error string lasts only until the callback 
returns. Thus, the callback must use it immediately in some fashion, and not 
retain the pointer (eg. print it, or copy it).
   
   As such, serf does not need to copy a portion of the error into a 
stack-based buffer.
