Before we get to the master pom release: Can we consider using scpexe:// URLs, or providing some way to do that?
As it stands, scp:// URLs don't work for me when I'm traveling (and most of Dec. is travel). Background [1]. Before getting to the soution, it would help to get data points from folks who work with scp:// (does scpexe:// work, is it slower etc.).
