However, I have a FedEx box ready to send my laptop into the shop. When the
sucker gets overheated it just powers off. I might have to sit in the 6 foot
snow pile outside my house to keep her cool :-).

Yeah, those things can do more damage than shutting off these days ...
no snow yet in the big apple, it was strange to have multiple rounds
of golf a week till late December :-)
