I would like to provide some more information on EC2 configuration. Do the following descriptions make sense?
ec2_identity Can be found in the AWS management console Security Credentials section, when you create a new access key. This value refers to the new key's "Access Key ID" ec2_credential Can be found in the AWS management console Security Credentials section, when you create a new access key. This value refers to the new key's "Secret Access Key" ec2_keypair_name This is set to the name of a keypair that you have created, for example in the EC2 section of the AWS management console. ec2_owner_id Can be found in the AWS management console, in the Account Management Section. This item is labelled "Account Number" in the console. ec2_availability_zone Used to determine the amazon zone for your instances. This can be set to 'us-east-1' if you are unsure what to use. ec2_security_groups This can be set to 'default' if you are unsure what value to use.
