Antoine Pitrou commented on THRIFT-5237:
----------------------------------------
I'm updating this now that I've read through the relevant TTransport
implementations.
In Parquet C++ we're usingĀ {{TMemoryBuffer}} with a known-size buffer that
we've read ourselves from disk. This means there isn't a way for TTransport
reads to go past the buffer size, and the max message size limit is not
relevant to us. Is my understanding correct?
> Implement MAX_MESSAGE_SIZE and consolidate limits into a TConfiguration class

> This ticket has two related goals:
> a) to implement a new limit for the maximum message size similar to max
> frames size etc
> b) consolidate and centralize all limits we have (max msg size,. max frame
> size and max recursion depth) into one place in the code
