I'd suggest putting the version into the properties near the top, with the sync
comment, along with the commons compress version, so it's obvious to spot when
doing future upgrades
No real preference on 1.6 or not, as long as we don't delay Chris any more than
we already have... (Lots of private emails asking about the release of the new
version so solr can upgrade!)
