Yes that sounds reasonable to me too. One thing though is we'll be breaking 
backward compatibility which users may be relying on, we did have a user 
complain when we changed this area in 1.4 - 
http://apache.markmail.org/message/diehalz27tklk2gd and we had to fix it for 
them, not sure if they were relying on using chained exceptions, i'll try to 
find out
