Hi everyone, I would like to volunteer as a mentor or co-mentor to the proposed "Empower Google Android applications to easily consume business services". As I mentioned previously, because I participated in GSoC last year as a student, I see this project as the best area in which I can help. Furthermore, I believe this project will attract talented students looking to become a part of Apache Tuscany.
This year I am working on my thesis on the organization of new open source communities in the ASF, and I want to do a case study based on Apache Tuscany. This means I need to ask for help from the community, to interview committers and as many of the people that played a role and were involved during the incubation period of Apache Tuscany. By being a mentor I can give back to the community and continue becoming a part of it. Since I will be working on my thesis throughout the summer I can be completely available for mentoring activities during the GSoC program, and would also be interested in contributing to the project as time allows. So, if everyone agrees, I have added myself as a possible (co-)mentor for the project. I look forward to any comments and hope this project is chosen for GSoC'09. PS. I noticed no Apache Tuscany projects have been posted to [1]. Please let me know if there is anything I can help with .
