I've now built a new Ubuntu 11-10 64bit desktop and ensured that it has 2Gb RAM and 2Gb Swap min. As long as I restart the box between builds, I can now build for any of the devices specified in the ./config.sh. I've also managed to get the built image back on to a Nexus-S phone.
Now my issue is that I can't get it to flash the PandaBoard with a build. But hey.... Progress of sorts!
