Got exactly the same problem.

My system is running within a VirtualBox environment on Ubuntu 12.04 x64 with 
an x86 emulator. Build went fine - when I launch the emulator I get only a 
black screen. I ran a x86 Android image in the emulator to test if that part 
works - runs fine.

Furthermore I built B2G on an MacOS system with an ARM emulator - exactly the 
same behavior there - build went fine, emulator just shows a black screen.

I can connect via ADB to the emulator.
