Hi,
recently I was thinking about developing an alarm clock app for Firefox
OS, given that the average app will probably not be as flexible as I
want it.
I own a (feature) phone that allows me to create several individual
alarms. Apart from options such as "only Tuesdays & Thursdays" or "every
3 weeks", an alarm can even be set to power on the phone if necessary.
Is this something that web applications will be able to do in Firefox
OS? Is it even possible to provide an API for that, i.e. expose the
corresponding hardware functions? I would be interested in helping to
specify one.
I'm not a smartphone user (yet), so I don't know whether iOS or Android
provide this feature.
