If you're looking for a web-like development experience, and don't need gecko changes, then just develop in Firefox. Nothing beats ctrl + refresh to see changes.
This link describes the setup process: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Firefox_OS/Using_Gaia_in_Firefox You can navigate to individual apps via domain. E.g., calendar.gaiamobile.org, or communications.gaiamobile.org. There's also a plugin which will make the system app work: https://github.com/KevinGrandon/Firefox-OS-Runtime/ Best, Kevin Grandon ----- Original Message ----- From: "wiratama dc" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, March 22, 2013 12:55:09 AM Subject: [b2g] Gaia hacking without building I have read somewhere in the mozilla wiki that we can make changes to gaia app then we just have to restart b2g desktop and the changes will be applied . I have try this method but it won't changes unless i re-build gaia again (make) then running the b2g desktop afterwards. Is there some way I can edit the app, such as the calendar, sms, camera, etc + developing own app without the need to rebuild gaia every time just to apply the changes? Mostly what I want is web-like developing environment where you just have to save the file then the changes immediately applied when you refresh your page in the browser. _______________________________________________ dev-b2g mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-b2g _______________________________________________ dev-b2g mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-b2g
