How about the parental control on Firefox OS?
I think it's useful for users who have children.
I'd like to know your opinion about this feature.
Issue:
- Parents can change feature status( enable / disable ) by the setting app.
Also, it needs parents password to change feature status.
( But now, you know, Firefox OS have only one user's password )
- Parents can control to launch, install / uninstall, the apps to use by
children.
->make launch list( like "App permission" of the setting app ).
Detail:
- Parents password :
It needs parents password.
Firefox OS will have the two passwords which are parents password and user's
password.
- Restriction list :
It needs The list which can set launch permission( allow or deny launch).
The parents can control the launch permission of every installed
applications.
I think we need the function that manage the list of launch applications
restriction( such as nsPermissionManager.cpp ).
- Launch restriction feature :
The setting app can change the staus of launch restriction( enable or
disable ).
+ enable : launching application is controlled based on the "Restriction
list".
+ disable : launching application is NOT controlled.
- Install restriction feature :
+ enable : restrict to install and uninstall applications by the children.
+ disable : NOT restrict to install and uninstall it.
