Dear All! I have created a so-called web-based bullet-user-interface or "bui", with freely relocatable and highly manipulative "bullets" (actually JQuery list-items) that can represent anything (data or functions) from anywhere and that can be dragged/dropped within and between "clips" (actually JQuery listviews) and especially, but not only, made for mobile devices. It is built with future semantics in mind (incl. rdf/owl reasoning). And it is part of a web-app with an appropriate (to be build) emergency "hit-and-run" federated/p2p web-based framework, but it can also be used for general purposes. To distinguish it from other existing or future bui's, it is called CJE-bui. I have just started a series of articles about this subject at calamityjaneexpress.wordpress.com. There is already a prototypal version live at www.calamityjaneexpress.net. Also are there video's at youtube/Dropbox and a developers MIT Licensed version on Github. I just wanted to know whether this (also) universal to be used bullet-user-interface might somehow be adapted/adopted(?) as a userinterface for the newly developed Mobile Browser OS. Is there somebody who is already skilled into this project and who could try this out, with minimal efforts? It's all build on (x)html, css and javascript (JQuery Mobile). The time to work things out myself is very little, else I would have tested it myself. I have to make one remark however: as of this moment and on Android (SGS2 v2.3.6) mobiles, the only browser that did things smoothly and as expected was Dolphin Mobile 9.2.3+ (dolphin.com) and for playing video's only Androids own Videos-player behaved well, but you might have other experiences. If mimicking things on a desktop (browser shrinked to mobile size), the latest Firefox, Opera and Chrome seems to do well. Safari also seems to do fine when trying things on an iPad. Couldn't test for other browsers. Constructive suggestions of any kind are of course always welcome!
Many thanks in advance and hopefully to hear from you soon, Kind Regards, Dee Jay Alexander email-1: [email protected] email-2: [email protected] web-site: www.calamityjaneexpress.net twitter: @DJACJE *: "Calamity Jane Express" isĀ a registered trademark in the US and other countries.
