Hello all,
I had an Unagi during the dogfooding program, however, I had a hard time
using it as my main phone. The main matter was not having 3G but 2G
which made using maps and tethering quite bad.
Since I got my Keon this week I have been thrilled and keep on showing
it to everyone.
Nevertheless, I've found some issues and some answers in case they're
useful.
Issues:
* I cannot import Facebook contacts [1]
** GP (Geeksphone) will be releasing soon the 1.1 builds that have this
issue fixed
* I cannot import Google contacts with Google Importer [2]
** a new version of the app was submitted and is waiting
* Bluetooth on my car
** I saw the phone sync; I still have to test if I can pick up or make calls
** My voice commands through the car did not trigger a call on the phone
** The car does not detect the phone as an Audio Bluetooth device
* Sharing files through Bluetooth with a Mac
** It worked!
* Sharing files through Bluetooth with a Galaxy Nexus 2 (both ways)
** It worked!
** UX request: it would be nice to be offered from the sharing menu to
search for a new device (since my phone was not yet paired) instead of
just listing the existing ones
* Push notifications
** In my Unagi I used to get email and calendar notifications; is my
memory failing me?
* Who's leading the dogfooding initiative?
** It used to be lsblakk, however, I'm not aware of a plan this time around
* How can I know that I'm testing the right version/channel?
* Minimalistic-Firefox-like-browser
** Is there a roadmap or to follow up with to get a better browsing
experience?
** Where can I try a new version?
* Theming?
** How can I change the look and feel of Gaia?
* After a whole day without rebooting and using tethering the phone came
to a crawl
** I needed to reboot to get it back in shape
* I needed 2-step verification on my FxOS phone and I figured it out:

* Text message notifications come only in English
** I set my phone to Spanish and the only English strings that I see is
when I get a new text saying that it arrived "just now" or "X minutes
ago". [3]
