You can use the Apps.install api from any web page. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Apps.install
Create and serve a page, for example called install.html, that has a button which calls the above api and passes the url of your manifest. Then, visit install.html from the browser on the phone. Press your button and Firefox OS will ask you if you are sure you want to install this app.
