You could use WebSockets instead of raw TCP Sockets. WebSocket doesn't require any special permission.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
please permit me to pose the following question. I have spent some time
Googling, but was not yet able to find a solution.

Tamoggemon Holding k.s. wants to provide FFOS users with a scientific
calculator which uses our server backend. Communication takes place via
TCP/IP, so special privileges are required in the app.

We originally planned to monetize our application via Smaato. However, their
advertising module contains some code which is not permitted for apps using
sockets.

I now wanted to ask if anyone of you is aware of another advertising
provider which would work in our situation. We really want to keep TouchCalc
free for FFOS users, but the server bill needs to be paid ;( ;(

With best regards
Tam Hanna
