Recently started getting around to updating the ZTE Open I bought off the US
ZTE Ebay store a few months back, and after what I thought was a successful
install found myself with a completely bricked device.

Not sure where in the process I messed this up - I had updated from 1.0 to 1.1
via the update provided on the ZTE website for the American build, which worked
fine. I attempted to flash a community-uploaded build of 1.3 (which got caught
in the boot loop) but I was able to revert back to 1.1 using the system
recovery option and seemed to be okay.

However, after moving the recently-added 1.2 beta from ZTE onto my SD card and
putting it back into the device, the ZTE Open no longer mounts the SD card and
refuses to boot into the OS. I have tried factory reset, installed
adb/fastboot (doing this from my Mac for the moment, though I have a PC and a
Linux VM available if needed...) but they do not recognize the device when it
is attached via USB.

I am at a loss. The message I get when I enter the system recovery (<3e>) is:

E:failed to mount /sdcard (No such file or directory)
E:Can't mount /sdcard/recovery.log
E:Can't open /sdcard/recovery.log

Has anyone run into a similar issue or have any idea what I can do to resolve
this? This phone was only $70 but I have been itching to do development on
this in my free time since I got it and am growing frustrated that now I
finally have the time, I cannot get the device to work...
