Hi list , Here is a pretty newbie question so please excuse my ignorance. I want a shell/terminal/console application which can access Linux like those Glibc based shells . I was told it was not possible.Running on the top of android kernel the lower level OS gonk doesnt expose a shell which could be accessed ( I might be wrong here ). https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_OS/Platform/Architecture
Does an application like shell need to be going through gecko rendering ? Cant it run out of it and give us what linux geeeks crave for a shell to access the inner workings ? can't it be hacked ? can I try something on my ZTE open or build b2g from source to achieve it ? Can someone guide me ? And yes I come from the world of N900 where I had a xterm added to that I could apt-get install stuff. I am not expecting it on a HTML5 based rendering which is a different way of doing things all together.
