A discussion on another list raised the issue of Github pull requests
going without responses and Bugzilla bugs languishing in the General
component or the Unconfirmed state without replies. I'd like to focus
on the bug triage in here.
You can get more precise numbers but we've got an incoming rate of about
10 bugs a day into the General component or Unconfirmed status in some
other component. We need to keep up with these and we need to clear out
the backlog.
Where should this work live? What kind of resources will it take to get
the lists cleaned up and well assigned? What about regular maintenance.
There are also some things we may be able to do to improve bug filing
that could help lower the volume of incoming General and Unconfirmed
bugs, including educating new reporters, improving documentation, maybe
better reporting forms, and more.
What are the tools or programs we need to scale up the quality of bug
reports?
