I wrote a recent blog post about the ZTE Open C at
http://firefoxosgaming.blogspot.com/2014/05/zte-open-c-hardware-review.html
and Ben McGaughey commented that the accelerometer didn't seem to be
working. I'm assuming that accelerometer is the device orientation
API.

I downloaded Orbland Labyrinth Free from the Marketplace and it does
not work. It does work on my old ZTE Open and Geeksphone Peak. It's a
simple game where you roll a ball around in a maze and uses (I assume)
device orientation. I earlier had written a blog post about device
orientation at
http://firefoxosgaming.blogspot.com/2013/12/device-orientation-game-programming.html
(my most popular post) and the app I made for that doesn't work on the
ZTE Open C even though it works on the old ZTE Open and the Geeksphone
Peak.

However, the ZTE Open C is running Firefox OS 1.3. Is there something
that changed in 1.3 that messes up previous apps using device
orientation? Or is there a setting that turns it on or off somewhere?
Or maybe the ZTE Open C doesn't support this API. Or ... ???

Has anyone looked in to this? Are there device orientation tests being
run and have them been run on the ZTE Open C?

I'm working on some games right now that use device orientation so
this is of some interest to me and the other people who might use this
for other uses of twisting and turning your phone. Thanks!
