I'm an Firefox enthusiast and I have been looking forward to get a nice,
supported phone with Firefox OS on it. I'm currently running Cyanogenmod
Nightly on my Android phone, so I'm used to run beta software. But I
won't do any testing or development atm, but is it still OK for me to
buy a Flame?

Yes. It's OK to buy a Flame. It's probably more and less phone than you need though. The Flame is a hardware reference so it contains a very specific set of hardware -- the features we're developing Firefox OS against over the next year or so, including some features you may not want or need. There are potentially other, more appropriate phones out there, including the ZTE Open C which costs considerably less.
