Hi all, My dogfood Flame recently has some USB related issues that never happen before, while my another dev Flame works fine and their only difference is the way to do the update.
First I noticed that my Flame can't charge from my Mac's USB port since last Thursday after one OTA (unfortunately I don't know exactly which one made it), which also made the layout wrong after typing the passcode in SIM ping dialog: http://imgur.com/PJvoV5H You can see there is a strange space underneath the whole window, and before I close the dialog the layout was correct. The device is still charge-able if I plug it in a USB power adapter. However, to charge it from Mac isn't available anymore. Today I've found another serious issue is USB storage function now is broken after my last OTA, which is 20140715040206 with Gaia 46cd188f. The symptom is my Mac now would never detect the internal & external SD card got plugged in while I turn the USB Storage function on. I've tried to reboot it but it unfortunately not worked. However, I think it was already broken before this version, which pushed me to update to try to solve the problem. The most strange thing is if I flash my another Flame with QA's tool, with the newest Gecko & Gaia, the symptoms never appear as before. And since I want to keep my dogfood phone as a daily-using phone, I can only flash it with OTA updates. I don't know whether OTA updates are different from the Gecko & Gaia from the QA tool, and the issues may be device related. I would fire some bugs if I can find firm STRs, but currently I don't know how to describe it. -- Greg Weng http://about.me/snowmantw Understand y f = f [ y f ] ; lose last remaining non-major friend -- Anonymous _______________________________________________ dev-b2g mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-b2g
