I've gone from a Galaxy Nexus to a non-android slide out keyboard phone. I
found Android to have so many features that I considered it bloated and
overkill for my taste. I like the non-android phone better, but I like the
Firefox OS phone concept and would like to set up a firefox phone as a stripped
down smart phone.

The base features I want are:

* Access internet with WiFi, but not from cell data network.
* Manage contacts from a Linux desktop
* Use phone as sms modem from a Linux desktop.

I also like the possibility of writing HTML5 apps for the phone. I'm hoping I
can load my own privileged hacks without going through app. certification.

I would probably start with a ZTE Open C to see how I like it.

Does any of this make sense?
