Hello,

I've got a new phone: Archos 40c Titanium
<http://www.gsmarena.com/archos_40c_titanium-6661.php> which embeds Android
4.4. I'd like to give a try to Firefox OS because it must be great to have
both free laptop and freed cell phone. My computer runs with Arch Linux.

I guess I may go through some steps:

   - Make a complete copy of my phone to make sure I can get back to
   initial state if I encounter any unresolvable trouble;
   - Download and build Boot to Gecko;
   - Flash my phone with it;
   - Finally install Firefox OS.

Before stepping any farther, I'd like to seek for some advices from the
community:

   - How can I make a full back-up copy of my phone and restore it when
   needed?
   - How can I know wether my phone will easily support Boot to Gecko and
   Firefox OS? Better to make it sure at the very beginning~~ It's OK for me
   to loose some feature whilst I can at least make a call (this is mandatory)
   and browse the web.
   - How difficult would it be? I can't at all write a full new driver :-)
   - I'd like to know in which extent has the phone builder tuned Android.
   - Do you know any blog from people who have successfully replaced
   Android by Firefox OS?

So as you might have guessed I'm a phone-hacking newbie but I hope at the
end I can learn enough to get my phone freed! Thanks in advance for your
answers.
