As you all know only the Open C sold in France has a proximity sensor, the one sold on Ebay does not. Firefox OS is designed for a device WITH that sensor. I now set the screen timeout to 5-10 minutes which sort of compensates for this discrepancy and it helps with outgoing calls, the screen stays on and I'm able to hang up but for incoming calls when the phone is locked the screen goes black almost immediately after I answer and if I want to hang up I must hit the power button in order to see the screen and only then hang up. Annoying is an understatement. I'm not gonna go into what brilliant mind put that hardware and that OS together but maybe someone can help me with a hack that would unlock the phone so that the screen stays on for incoming calls also. BTW, this is with v2.1 JB base.
