Hi, We are currently working on exploring the idea of moving away from XPCShell to Node.js in the Gaia build process [1].
Doing so would save us the time download XPCShell when building Gaia, but we would require Node.js as a build prerequisite. If that's a problem please let us know -- this requirement will be effective when the work is completed and turned on. For detail technical discussion, please find the thread in dev-gaia. Thanks.
