You must unzip the upgrade firmware (with 7zip), inside you will find among other things /META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script. Open that in a text editor and the 3rd or 4th line begins with "assert", that line must be deleted. Afterwards you zip everything back (with 7zip) and try flashing that. I would look for an upgrade from the region you are in (EU, US, etc.) and AFAIAC the usual "you may brick your phone by doing this" is valid.
