Hm, well I dug into the backlog and found bug 786756 [1] actually tracks
this. So much has changed since 2012, we would probably be better off
trying starting again rather than trying to refresh/merge those patches as
is. ISO mode is already in though.

Exposing these from Gecko/Gonk is pretty easy. It looks like we will need
when we (eventually) fully implement / switch to the Image Capture API [2]
so at least part of the work will need to be done anyways on the platform
side.

Wilson, what was the reasoning behind hiding most of the knobs? I came too
late to the scene to have been around for that discussion. It would be nice
if we could expose more of them to meet feature parity with other phones.
If the concern was just menu clutter for most users, I'm sure we could bury
the uncommon ones under an Advanced submenu in the Options menu :).
