Hello,

I am working in a project and maybe I will use the source code of Thunderbird
to make some changes in purpose to meet the need of the enterprise where I work

I am asking if there is a documentation about the Thunderbird project to
understand the source code

Thanks,

You can look at the information available on MDN (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Documentation_hot_links) but realistically there is no overview of Thunderbird code there.

Generally the path forward for people who want to do Thunderbird development is to first compile Thunderbird, then start asking questions. The best place to ask questions in on mozilla.dev.apps.thunderbird. Let me warn you though that even compiling Thunderbird is difficult to do without asking questions, as there are some issues right now with the build system that are not well documented because we expect to fix them Real Soon Now.
