The way I see it, mswincontext constitutes -- for practical purposes -- a
complete TeX distribution. Instead of updating MiKTeX, TeXLive, etc. I
just update mswincontext quarterly, biannually, etc., or if and when
things start to go awry. In between I just update current and beta as
needed (sometimes a few times a day ;-) ). mswincontext is my only TeX
distro.

With all the changes in fonts, metrics, etc. it is much more convenient to
have a single maximal than putting the pieces together, or overwriting
files and then tex gets confused about metrics etc...

Best wishes
Idris
