it depends a bit, but if you make little graphics and do a lot of 
scaling; long ago i played with precision (you can set this in pdftex 
too \pdfdecimaldigits=5 by default)

there's nothing as annoying as things just not fitting (enough apps out 
there that are inaccurate)
