Hello

I have a c# project that hosts mozilla activex control. Every time the
control navigates
to https url the app was crashing. I rebuilt the source to find the cause of
the fault,
ensuring that security was enabled. Next i go to the csbrowse test app...
launch it and
all's well with SSL.

Assuming that the rebuild solved the problem, i continue with my project
until it navigates
to https page in debug mode... bang, the app goes down again. Deduction has
revealed
that this problem only occurs when VS is running.

To repeat:

Execute csbrowse or other mozillacontrol host and navigate to a https
page... OK
Close csbrowse.
Execute VS2005 IDE (dont load a project or solution)
Repeat step 1... csbrowse bombs out

I assume it has something to do with webshell or xpcom but what difference
an instance of
VS should have on that is mysterious. The idea that the stability of the
mozillacontrol is
dependent upon what other processes happen to be running at the time is not
good!

With a limited knowledge of the inner workings of SSL, mozilla and VS, it
seems like
something fishy is afoot... or is there a rational explanation?

Regards
Chris
