Don't try to use project files. Download the "MozillaBuild" installer
to put all the required build pieces on your system (except VS2005
which you already have). If you want to build the Mozilla ActiveX
control, you should be building the XULRunner project.

I am assuming you tried just downloading a nightly (or release)
version of XUL Runner and registered the ActiveX control. I don't know
what user agent issues you're having, but you should be able to tweak
the UA string using preferences.
