Hi All,

Please find below the highlights of today's FxA Engineering Coordination
meeting, in no particular order.

* Spring Campaign Progress

The Spring Campaign has been very good to us so far, with a much higher
rate of account creations than we normally have. MoCo folks can view
the large spike on our internal metrics dashboard [2]

We have not seen any operational issues or concerns from the increased
traffic, which is always a relief.

* Marketing Email opt-in will go live this week

We are preparing an off-cycle release for fxa-content-server in order
offer the Marketing Email opt-in while the Spring Campaign still has
legs. If all goes to plan, it will be live in production sometime
tomorrow, and users creating new accounts will be able to "Get the
latest news about Mozilla and Firefox".

* Welcome Sai (in person this time)

Our newest summer intern, Sai, was able to join us for the weekly
meeting this week. It was great to be able to welcome him in person!
He has been busily working through some good-first-bugs on our repos and
is looking forward to diving in to work on two-factor authentication.

* Android payments bug

There seems to be a bug with PIN reset in the Android payments flow [3],
which may be a re-appearance of an issue related to postMessage flows
inside an iframe. Vlad is following up.

* Preview of the new settings page

John Gruen gave us a walk-through of the new settings page design that
he and Zach are working on this week. We even scored a leaked
screenshot of the design [4] and it's looking great!

* Train-39 to be cut this week

There are a few pending issues tagged for this train in the backend
repos, which we'll deal with in tomorrow's backend triage meeting.

* New top-level docs repo

Vlad has contributed docs to a new top-level "fxa" repo [5] that will
serve as a single entry-point for anyone looking to get onboard with
development for this project. Thanks Vlad! Please feel free add your
own notes, issues or comments in that repo to grow it into an even more
useful resource.

As always, full notes and status updates are available at [1].

  Cheers,

    Ryan
