(I'm sending this to the broader mailing list because it could benefit from
being tried by a bunch of different people.)

One of our key results for Q3 was to fix the marketing opt-in on the FxA
account creation page.  In the past it would silently ignore your request
to receive the monthly newsletter if you happened to verify on a second
device.  We *think* we've fixed that, but could use your help to
double-check.

If you've got a spare couple of minutes (and a spare email address) can you
please:

* Sign up for a new Firefox Account, making sure to check the checkbox to
opt-in to the monthly newsletter

* Open the link from the account verification email on another device (e.g.
your mobile, or a different Firefox profile)

* Go to https://accounts.firefox.com/settings/communication_preferences

If everything worked as expected, you should see a blue button that says
"unsubscribe".  This means you were successfully subscribed to the
newsletter.

If instead the blue button says "subscribe", then we failed to respect your
opt-in.  Please file a bug.
