Hi All,

We were discussing sync-fest in a meeting recently, and :rfeeley
mentioned that it's hard to test the sign-in confirmation flow during
a sync-fest, because we usually use a newly-created account and those
accounts get special treatment in the sign-in confirmation logic.

As of yesterday, it's possible to test this by using specially-formed
email addresses. It's a trick we've been using in dev for a while,
but it has now been enabled in production as well.

If you sign up with an email address matching "[email protected]"
(i.e. any restmail address that starts with "sync") then you will be
forced to go through the sign-in confirmation flow on every sync
login, missing out on IP profiling and other tricks we've added to let
regular users skip this step when it's safe to do so.

Please try it out next sync-fest and see if it produces any new results!

  Cheers,

    Ryan
