If you already have perl, it may be a path problem:

$ yaourt -Qo `which shasum`
/usr/bin/core_perl/shasum is owned by perl 5.22.0-1
~~~
Maybe try adding `/usr/bin/core_perl` to your path?
I'm an Arch user too, but I use a Docker Ubuntu image when building for
my Nexus 4.
