Hi Sam, This is a deliberate strategy to have a wide funnel of people coming to take a look at the project. The previous barrier to entry has been to own a specific piece of hardware (or run an emulator). While we've reduced that by providing Nexus 4/5 builds the overhead is high for the curious. Our hypothesis is that B2GDroid will convert some eyeballs into people willing to flash phones or dig further into involvement. That's why the copy was optimized in this way by the brand/marketing team. We'll soon know if this strategy panned out.
I also put out a blog post describing B2GDroid and 2.5, overall here <https://hacks.mozilla.org/2015/11/firefox-os-2-5-developer-preview-an-experimental-android-app/> .
