Hi all, Reza have just landed bug 993899, which revised and revisit the previous work on Emoji layout on master (v2.6). We've spent fair amount of time checking the code points the layout should output, and also verify against the Firefox Emoji font.
The latest Gaia master should contain the layout, which can be enabled in Settings. The font might not be included in your build -- please side load or rebuild the latest base image to get the latest fonts. Thanks Reza for picking up the remaining work!
