Wouldn't it make more sense to use UPnP/DLNA for this? That standard is already widely-adopted and supports storing a library on one system while streaming media to another. If we used this, we'd get the ability to talk to lots of other music players/libraries for free (e.g. smart TVs, Kodi, Plex, etc). It's not clear to me what AURA provides that UPnP. The docs claim that it's an "open alternative" to UPnP, but given that plenty of open source applications already support UPnP, I'm not sure why we'd choose AURA. It's not as though we'd only be able to interact with closed-source systems via UPnP. - Jim _______________________________________________ dev-fxos mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-fxos
